Cleaning cooked on grease.

I used brasso to clean my aluminum control arms. I was super excited at how it got the gummed up junk off in seconds. 😁😁😁

Brasso is ammonia, don't leave it on aluminum for very long. A few minutes is ok. Just about any of the "color" cleaners work well, Orange, Purple, Green etc. Along with oven cleaner, ammonia again.

X2 what Don said.
If using Brasso on bare aluminum, you should give it a soap bath afterwards to wash off the ammonia residue.

30 years on the fire department I'm sure I used cases of Brasso when shining up brass fire equipment !
