The Service Manager where I had all my oil changes and service work done in Sequim Washington told me that info on the Dexos and leaking seals after we had had a long conversation about Oils and GM Products. They used Chevron products but he was very well versed on every issue I brought up. That was about 10 months ago.
I have had both 2010 and 2011 HHR's at the same time off and on and wanted clarification on what to use and why.
Evidently they have since modified the products or the application to include the earlier models with Dexos 1 oils.
I find the Mobil Super Premium 5/30 to be a very good product in my 2010 2.2 and 2.4Lengines. No oil leaks and no useage @5000mile oil change intervals. it has a very light tint to it when new and fresh so you can read the dipstick easier then some clear oils.
