Esc light on and esc off.

So after swapping out my shifter the ESC light came on followed by ESC OFF and now they are both always on and I have no control over turning it off or on with the button on the dash. Can anyone help me out here. I connected everything that I had to disconnect to get it out. It's a 2008 LT 2.4l Automatic.

The ESC light on means ESC OFF, that part is normal. Maybe the lateral acceleration module, that is under the passenger seat next to the hump. More likely a coincidence, did you touch any fuses in the operation?
Any intention of looking at the reply to the fuel door question?

I don't believe I did touch any fuses.
