looking for some help. any suggestions on what to use to clean seats and carpet

ya id like to see what others have used because I have used the Oxy-out or whatever its called..and for some reason it leaves stains like wet spots all over my seats and doesnt go away..

I did some spot cleaning on a light colored LS interior seats with,,,,,,,'windex'.....didnt leave any stains and took the other stains out....make sure you feather the wet area that way it minimizes the wet/dry area stain if its there ay all........use a wet rag

it was one of those aerosol cans with the brush on the end meant for upholstery cleaning..and my interior is dark. Never had issue with this stuff on my other vehicles, just on this fabric in the HHR. Ill give the windex a try :p

steam cleaners work very well. They make very small ones.

Resolve for Pet Stains.

Why?

Because it's made to clean up the "mess" (animal accidents, kids accidents) and leave your fabric looking and smelling clean. Works excellent and with kids who spill milk, coke, juice etc. and pets (i have both) as well as the occasional grease monkey stains. Keeping a bottle in the car with "spot" rag will help keep things tidy or keep one in your "Car Care Kit" and touch the spots everytime you clean the interior. The longer the stain sits obviously the harder it is to get out but the Resolve is easy on the seats and carpets and will get it out of the fabric.

I don't have a good answer. I used my steam cleaner on mine. It's nice to see another J'ville resident though...

With whatever method/product you use, you will likely find that the light-coloured upholstery will show "rings" around the cleaned spot. So, when cleaning make sure you clean the whole panel at the same time, not just the dirty spot.

Steam cleaner. As whopper said, you can't just do a small area. Has to be the entire upholstery panel.
