Fluid check intervals

How often do you guys check your fluids? I.E Brake fluid, Oil, and coolant?

I have begun checking every Monday morning and then again every Friday morning. Mind you, I have a rather lengthy commute totaling 70 miles per day Mon-Fri not including grocery store runs, gym, errands, etc through the week. Am I crazy or over cautious with checking this often?

Just looking for insight into my sanity compared to yours. Cheers.:twothumbs:

I'm every Saturday morning! It's more therapy then , obsessive!
I've been driving 145 kilometres round trip (90 miles) everyday since March 28 to the hospital and back!

Since I replaced the engine in our HHR I tend to check the oil and coolant level every time we are going out of town.

Even if we are not leaving town I usually check at least those two items once a week.

I really wish they had added a automatic transmission dipstick or had a way to put an after market one on.

A commercial driver is supposed to check everything daily. You can't hurt anything by overdoing it. As long as you are aware of the function of the brake fluid level (pad wear indicator).

Glad to hear that I am not a crazy person and if I AM a crazy person its nice to know I am not the only one! :D. My 'obsession' started after I had my coolant flushed and exchanged and thereafter I could distinctly smell coolant for about a week until I realized that the radiator cap was leaking! After replacing that it hasn't leaked anymore. Sometimes my brain likes to trick me into being overly cautious with the coolant level. I took a mental note on its position and it has not gone below that line since I have been checking. The "cold" level of coolant rests at the bottom of the lower picture on the overflow bottle. I was checking every other day but in order to stop myself from going crazy I decided to tone it down to once per week LOL
