Never know what is in the tanks at the pump.

This isn't a tank off an HHR, this is out of a F350 stepvan body.

Chevron's is Techron (or maybe Techron II, now). I can't vouch for it.

I used to use the Lucas Fuel treatment, but it would literally thin out the motor oil and I would blow a bunch out the PCV on the Saabaru.

As a result, I tended to do it just before changing the oil and only for events. I had to really watch my oil level. I never had fuel system issues in over 140K, but I can't honestly say it helped with either power or MPG.

As an aside, I can't stop thinking about Steve Earle's song, "Snake Oil" now...

Except this was not rust from the tank, but crap from the underground tanks. This was a 2 year old 2004 model (pic from 06). Was even funnier, this was from a Texaco station which is listed as "top tier"......

Crap like this will have to be manually cleaned out. It will clog the sock on a fuel pump fast. But some can still get into the lines and clog injectors. That's why I use the seafoam about once a year. You never know what's in the tank at the pumps.
