Help..Flunky Floor Mats

I bought a set of used all weather floor mats(OEM)
They are a combo grey/black/with white cording.

The front mats have stains on them, and I thought no big deal...I'll just scrub em' up. Nice plan...but after trying every cleaner and scruber I have NO LUCK.

Any suggestions ???????

I've tried white wall tire cleaner,Brillo pads, every kitchen cleaner on the shelf>

One thing to try that worked for me in the past, scrub in dish-washing liquid and let them set for an hour or two, then use a pressure washer. But it sounds like whatever the stains are, they have probably "dyed" the mats permanently, and you may never be able to get them perfectly clean.

Thanks for the suggestion..these mats seem like a silicone material, and the stains do appear to be sublimated into the material.

floor mats

I have good luck with water and Ajax or Comet cleanser.

After that some type of protectant of your choice like Armor all or etc will bring the color back.

If this won't work, but some "real" floor mats like Weathertechs. Those are made in America.

Been using the Husky Liners for 15 years in various cars. Never stained and clean up with soap and water.
These are the front ones from my HHR(oem's are the cheap little ones)

They may very well be dyed that color from the years of dirt.

I deal with all weather mats on a regular basis and cheap ones tend to stain rather quickly. The weather tech mats are the way to go but are big money.

Try a magic eraser and a cleaner. It will abrade the mat and you'll be able to tell if its a surface stain that could be removed or not.
