HHR Transmission question

I just bought a 2006 Chevy HHR 2.2 4 cylinder with 186,000miles. I purchased this vehicle to solely use for Uber and Lyft driving. Had it a couple weeks and every once in a while like maybe once or twice a week I notice something when taking from park to drive or reverse to drive . The car is always warmed up but when I put it in drive then go to accelerate the rpms go up and the vehicle is barely moving or not moving. It only happens once or twice a week. When it happens I put it back in park wait a moment, shift to drive wait another moment and I’m on my way. Sometimes it will happen just a couple times in. A day then it won’t happen anymore. Since then I always wait a moment when putting in drive until I feel the transmission shift gears and I haven’t really noticed it since besides one other accurance. Any ideas? Hope it’s nothing major.

Welcome to the site, have a close look at the wiring harnesses to the TCM, and the ground wires just to the right of the oil filter housing in the transmission case.
look for any loose pins, dirt or corrosion.

Could it be low on trans fluid?

If there are no DTCs then trans fluid.

I guess it could be a torque converter.

I would first look at trans fluid level. You have a lag between gears. Are there any signs of leaks ?
The next thing to do is drop the trans pan and see if it's clean or not. Seeing material is a sign of friction clutches are worn.
While it's down look at the filter too. A restricted filter can cause the lag also. But if it's dirty/clogged something clogged it material wise.

Thanks guys I did check fluid it seems to be okay. I’m taking it to the shop Monday for a deeper look. Had new issues pop up today and have another post on it here. https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/main...77/#post862138 Take a peek if you have a few minutes and any feedback is greatly appreciated.
