Jacking point + jack stands

If I use the jacking point to lift the car where do I put a jack stand. Exhaust is coming and I also want to do rear springs to lower the car.
Thanks

I haven't successfully gotten my HHR on jack stands yet (haven't really needed to) but I would say that the best place would probably be the subframe.

There are a couple of "holes" on the underside of the body (behind the front wheels and in front of the back wheels) that I assume are for the new lifts used for unibody vehicles, but when I tried using them, I thought the metal was bending a bit (not 100% sure on that).

Hopefully someone that has actually done this will chime in :)
