Leather Seat Cleaner
I got home from work today and I noticed that my drivers seat is starting to look a little dirty. Not sure if it's the ink from my shirts but my grey leather seat is in need of cleaning.
This is my first car with leather interior and need some recommendations. What do you recommend, and why, for cleaning the grey leather seats in our HHR's?
And yes, I did do a search

I know this is an old thread--but did a search and came up with this one.
I happened to notice something that looks like blood (!) on my passenger seat. It is faint, but I can see it in the gray leather. Can't seem to get it off with the mild cleaner I was using and am afraid to use anything else.
Would the Meguier's suggested work on this?

when I was in school I worked at a furniture store and the reps from Palliser..etc come out and said that leather cleaner is harmful to the leather and that just a clean damp towel with a bit of dish soap water is the best to clean the leather. Much like how scotch gaurd we were told actually is bad in the long run for fabric sets and there is some other stuff that is good to keep it from being stained.
Worked out for me, saved me money when cleaning my leather chair.
EDIT: Should note, we didn't sell anything because of that advice to make a profit and at that had to clear-out our leather cleaner to people that wouldn't believe what we were told.

How long ago were you in school? I think the thought process must have changed since then because I checked with no less than 5 leather furniture companies (because of a previous statement made here) and they all recommend(and some provide a free kit with the purchase of furniture) either one of 2 products. Both for cleaning, ON AN OCCASSIONAL BASIS, and a leather treatment regularly.
