It is a BOLT there is supposed to be a captured nut. If you did that much to it the capture part is probably gone. Where did the bolt get cut, what happened to the part that belongs in the nut?
That bolt hold 1/4 of the engine and transmission in the car.

So what do you mean in the bolt? And what does this nut look like?

A new cage nut. These photos are with the engine cradle removed, there isn’t a lot of room to get to the driver side, but you can get to the passenger side to break the cage off and install a nut

I meant "in the nut". Fixed it.

Ok so I have the green puce but it's not green and no threads. Also the old bolt is in 3 pieces I got a new one from the dealership, but now it's the mater of putting that but back in (that has no threads) without putting it on the lift cause my man's vehicle is on it with no tires

You’re gonna need a nut to replace the stripped out cage nut. 14m 2.0 metric

donbrew 07-19-2023 12:09 PM

If it doesn't have threads it is not a nut.
Which 3 pieces? Picture?
