Ok so I have the green puce but it's not green and no threads. Also the old bolt is in 3 pieces I got a new one from the dealership, but now it's the mater of putting that but back in (that has no threads) without putting it on the lift cause my man's vehicle is on it with no tires

I'm thinking about going to the drawing board (literally, I still have one, even tho I don't use it or CAD either much anymore) and try to design a solution for spun cage nuts. Anyone have any thoughts as why a cage nut was used in the first place?

Yeah, but so is a weld nut. Someone thought it needed to float. I don't see the need, unless they thought they couldn't hold the tolerance to the front guide holes well enough to avoid assembly problems.
Gotta look that up. I was thinking just a strategically shaped tapping plate that would slide in place and can't rotate no matter what, no weld required. But I've never had to deal with this so I don't know the territory. Also not used to having no reference drawing to work from.
...fastsuv came up with a good solution, and it worked bolt , washer then nut.
