Hey guys i need to try and find a part number.

I opened the hood to do a little cleaning and i noticed the rubber gromet in one of the airbox supports is gone. I know ot was dry rotted. I guess it just fell out.

I keep managing to lose those. I just pick one that is close from the hardware store and mash it in there. None of the airboxes seem to move much grommets or no.

It doesn't move much, but it rattles with the metal on metal. I don't like to run it that way. If I can't find anything I'll get a rubber fitting that's close and use it.

What I mean is that you can pick the wrong grommet a few times with no negative effects (if it falls out, say) and still be under GM's cost.

Might want to center up the bracket hole with the stud. Either shim the bracket or bend it. That could be the reason it's chewing up the grommet.

Yep will do. I'm outta town for the weekend. I'll work on it next week. I'll post up some pics of what I do. I know these come apart so it will be good info.
