Push Fastener Removal Tool That Really Works

Best $10 I ever spent. Works great on the push type "christmas tree" type fasteners. My first time using it today to get to a front side maker bulb it shot right out of the hole-clean. I have a HF store that just opened near me and they do have some good stuff-within reason of course.

Guess I know where I'll be stopping tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up, just wonder how I missed those.

When you use it for the 1st time make sure you keep an eye on the push fastener. If you squeeze the handle too hard and fast the fastener will fly! My 1st one ended up in the grass-that's how I found that out:lol:

Yeah I thought that might be the case, years of model railroading have seen me send so many little parts off to the 4th dimension. I think that's also where socks go when the dryer eats them, but the upside is that the oddball socks make nice wax applicators!

Nice find, nice price! :twothumbs:

The store opened 3 weeks ago. I went every other day when the restocked and they were always sold out. Last week when I went there was one left calling to me. The woman at the register said they fly out the door. I may get this other one to help remove the center pin fastener type from my wifes cobalt. Worth the price just to not have to buy new fasteners.

My Fragile Male Ego

As someone who is so mechanically challenged that he failed in his attempts to gain access to change the HHR air filter, this is a godsend. I had no way to get behind the fender splash guard and get to the bulbs until now. My local Harbor Freight has these in stock. I will get one tomorrow.

Harbor Freight is gonna wonder why there's a run on these pliers all of a sudden...... Just picked up a pair today. :skull:

Not on sale for Black Friday at Harbor Freight

But a 3/8 inch torque wrench is!

It works!

We got into girlfriend's fender liner and replaced two side marker lights in the front. We had to buy a small pack of replacement fasteners for a couple of dollars since we damaged them on removal, but that's cheaper than paying someone else to do the job! Finding this tool inexpensively is the sort of thing that makes belonging this forum worthwhile!
