Hi there I am a novice to car repair and may have bit off more than I can chew but I am working at it. So I have a Chilton's manual for my 09 her 2.2l. I am trying to get to the heater core is there a book with better instructions and pictures? Is there a forum to post into about getting to the heater core right now I need to unbolt the brake assembly from the cowl support I know where to look for the brake but what is the cowl support? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

How many things is the brake assembly bolted to? I'm not sure what brake assembly you mean (maybe the pedal?), but it could only be bolted onto 1 piece.

I think it means the firewall, since that's the only place anything that could be called "brake assembly" is.

Unfortunately, I have never seen a well illustrated manual, they are all wire frame.
