sparkplugs?

hello all.
my 2008 has got 50,000 miles on it now and i was thinking about changing the plugs on it.what brand would be the best for my 2.4 engine? any pros and cons?

the AC Delcos , they work the best and last the longest 100,000 miles , I have 2 2.2 litre GM's and both love the Delcos and not so much Bosch or NGK's

Probably not needed to change plugs right now. Should be able to go to 100,000. But it can't hurt anything to change them. I'd stick with delco's.

I pulled my 2.4 plugs @ around 20K just to see.. Nice & clean, but gaps were not all the same. That has long ago been corrected.. (needless to say).

By all means AVOID 'pulstar' spark plugs.

I bought my HHR a lease turn in 32,000 miles changed to the E 3 plugs, a lot of HYPE, had 20,000 missfires and poor performance changed back to new Delcos Ird. now at 58,432 miles runs great.

I changed mine out at 62,000 miles because the last car that I owned the 100,000 mile were shot at 60,000. The plugs out of the HHR looked good, but they are a cheap insurance to change.

Its my understanding that you don't gap the plugs scrapes off the Iridium or how ever you spell it.

OEM Delco for me. Works great.

jbman: Iridium plugs gap fine if you don't touch the electrode when you do it. NGK site recommends not to gap, but says with precautions that it should gap fine.
