I have just purchased a well featured 2010 HHR LT with unfortunately a basic OnStar rear view mirror. I am in process of selling my 2009 HHR LT with OnStar auto dimming mirror with compass. Any idea if I can swap mirrors before selling?

 

Are you sure it just has Basic? There's a button that turns the compass feature on and off.

 

Thank you for your reply. I have looked closely and the one I call basic does not have a compass feature or buttons etc. like the auto dimming one. It does have a wired plug-in at the back that looks similar on each.

not sure but I think there the auto dim feature requires a different cable with like 7 wires as opposed to just a few (3), may want to recheck that
