zaino from what i hear is AWESOME! i've always used meguiars products and mainly NXT tech wax on my black car. easy application. apply, let cure, then buff. great on swirls and dark colored cars. i had some people at a show asking me if i had repainted the car, this was in 2004 on my 1996 car.

I haven't read the entire thread so this might have been mentioned before. Dish washing detergent usually has an additive to dissolve grease. Grease and wax are pretty similar so if you wash with dish washing detergent you are breaking down whatever wax you have on the car.

I've got little sticky spots of pollen or something from tress or something around where I park my car for work. What's the best way to get them off?

Clay will remove them. You could also try and use a nice AIO/Paint cleanser. Remeber though, clay is an abrasive, dont go hog wild all year with the stuff. I only clay mine and my clients about 2 times a year max.

I start with the rims. I use Mothers or Meguires rim cleaner. Spray on and hose off. Then clean top to bottom with Mothers car soap, rims last with a wash mitt. Then I use a chamois to dry. I have the "Final Coat" protectant on the paint so I am not allowed to wax. But it is guarenteed for 5 yrs. The bug guts still stick a bit. The brushed aluminum is a pain, wish I had the chrome! I use auto glass cleaner on it! I do all the rubber/vinyl with Mothers protectant, and lastly the glass/aluminum.
I have not seen any opinions on chamois, but have been doing cars with them for 20 years, am I being too "old school"?
