Water Leak

Hi all,
I have a water leak on the passenger's side and it's the water deflector or cowl or whatever it's called. I've been looking for it online but I'm not sure what name that part goes by. I found this part number 25785783 but again I'm not sure if it's correct.

Please someone point me to a site where I can buy this part.

Thanks!

A quick google search of the part number you quoted gave this link: WATER DEFLECTOR | Genuine GM | 25785783

It's as good a place to order from, assuming it's the right part, which you can probably verify via the parts diagram at the above link.

Search phrase "butyl patch" or "water leak" will return more info than you thought you could read.

Rather than buying a new one just do what some others have done and make you own! Also, do you have a sunroof? Do not rule out a drain tube leak either. I thought the butyl patch was the entire issue but it was only half my issue.

I thought the butyl patch was only on the 06 models.
The OP's info says they have a 07.

I think some early built 07 models have the same patch thing going on

Hey OP, to be 100% sure its the butyl, check your cabin air fitler; if it looks/is wet or appears to have been wet at some point than it is most likely the butyl patch. That is where is actually leaks into the car and ruins blower motors.

Also, the A/C drain could be plugged up. Don't say "I never use the A/C in the winter and that's when it leaks", because the A/C runs in defrost mode.

If it is a butyl patch that needs replacing, here is a link to a good description of how to do the replacement (including pictures): https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...t-night-14263/

I found last night that I STILL have a water leak on the passenger side. The final culprit? The wire loom and "cover" that leads into the car. It was separated enough to let water to seep in and on the interior of the car there is a rubber insert piece covering the holes but the one up near the wires was actually funneling water down and into the interior of the car. Check that too as a possible in addition to the above! When I pulled the trim piece off the interior there was a little puddle collected, affirming my assumptions since I did the butyl patch and recently cleaned the sunroof drain holes.
