Manual only mentions the whole blade, but you may have to look at your blade to see if you can replace the insert. Usually it is just easier to replace the whole thing in case the assy has any slight twist or something that you don't notice until the blade is wiping the windshield and can't figure why the new insert still isn't cleaning right. The whole thing doesn't cost that much if you by at a discount store with good name brand blades.

I would replace the whole blade anyhow, because the stock blades with the rubber sail on it make too much wind noise. From that point on, you could just buy the inserts, but I wouldn't because if you replace the whole thing you get better contact with the windshield because the "spring" is new.

The rear wiper, on the other hand, just get an insert. That dealer-only blade is expensive.

I use winter blades in the winter because of their design.

In spring/summer/fall I use AeroFoil blades for their aero aspect and that they have built in metal wings for extra downforce.

The factory blades only go back on when the vehicle is returned off lease/traded.

all i can say is wow, i could never imagine going through the trouble of replacing the insert. It may not be hard, but i would never even contemplate doing that on an already cheep part.
