Description:
Looking for an alternator. Just put a new battery in it and it won't start. The lights come when I turn the key, but it won't turn over. I then have to jump her to get her started.

You need to clean the battery posts and terminals better.

He's right, main thing, don't just throw an alternator on it, check the alt.first, there's about a dozen twenty six other things that can be wrong, maybe just a fuse. Like maybe your old battery was OK too. They can be tested, usually they're good when they're tossed.
