Anybody going?

I am not too far from there. If we get a few going, let me know and I'll make the trip down to the City.

We're going to drive up and go on the 14th.

Rumor has it that a custom HHR named "Bob" will be displayed during the show. :cool:

Not 100% Sure yet. Depends if Pace is running and if we get Free Tickets.

The last time i was at the auto show, i was one of the 24 union carpenters that set up the cadiliac booth, 2 shifts 12 guys. Did that booth for three years. Always turned out perfect. Let me know a time and spot and i'm there. ( wonder if my badge is still good , lol. ) :cool:

Sounds like it will be a good time had by all. I wish I could go. I really do.

im planning on going over the weekend maybe the 14th or 15th

We aren't going anymore. Got my Hour's Cut and nobody is giving Free Tickets. So i'll save myself some $$ by not Driving in there and paying for parking etc.

We're going on the 14th, late morning to early afternoon.

Looks like I'll be missing it. Mom is moving in for a while from hospital.

Sucks that I won't get to see my own HHR on display!

If anybody goes, I'd love a pic or two of my HHR.

I'll be home that week...we might be going up. I think my dad is running a few of the GM displays. He usually runs the GMC, Buick and Pontiac.

where will your HHR be displayed?!? I may be going, so if I do I will be lookin' for it! Maybe we'll see it at a future Barrett-Jackson auction?!?;)

I need to see if I can still pick up my free tix from my local Chevy dealer!

It is going to be displayed by the Chevy Dealers Assoc. So I'm guessing it will be with all the Chevys.

From what I was told, GM used to send them a bunch of concept/show cars to display. But this year that wouldn't send any. So the dealers assoc. sent out word to their contacts, one of which was Bill Hahn. They offered him two spots. So he asked if I'd be willing to let him show off mine. I didn't have to think long about that!

Just got an email from my dad (Vern) he will be somewhere in the GM area so if anybody goes look around for Vern and say hi for me...I will try to make it up there for one day since I'll be home on leave that week. He has dark hair (with a little gray), will be in a suit and tie with glasses most of the time.

I am going to the Show - February 20th. Most Chevy dealerships have complimentary tickets....

hmm i missed that one yesterday ~_~ i was all over the place and i only seen a few HHR's and they were stock from GM

all that aside... i was rather disappointed in the car show this year... it seemed rather "plain" --- drive some vehicles in, put up fences around them DONE let the car show start --- borring . last time i went to the chicago show, there was stuff all over the place, hand outs, demos, obscure displays, and lots and lots of eye candy... this year was pretty much a let down, i drove an hour n a half, spent 50 bucks and basicly felt like i was walking around the mall. the few redeeming vehicles were the concept caddy and a few of its bretherin and seeing all the chrome engines cut all apart. OH and prying my girlfriend away from the new camaro repeatedly appologizing to the employees about the drool she left all over the place ^_^ hehehe (BTW-- anyone notice how beat up bumble bee looked? like someone dropped him a few times LOL)

Yeah, it is set up in the AYES Chevy Tuner Display.

That's where it's from. I would check out Mike's thread on what he thinks about pteazer though :thumb:

There is a thread I started about my dealing with Teazer. A good read for anyone thinking about buying their stuff.

So I went to the Auto Show in Chicago on Thursday. I did see the HHR in the picture (in the Chevy Tuner Display) - and it could not have been further away than it was from the Chevrolet display - clear on the other side of McCormick Place. The Chevrolet display had an HHR SS (red) and a HHR LS (blue) - neither was really tricked out (no sunroofs, no Dash mounted performance display) - what Chevy did have was an abundance of trucks - Ford too...and Chrysler. No wonder the big 3 is in trouble. But, on the upside - Champaign to Chicago and back -- 3/8 of a tank of gas.

They did a good job shining up Bob. I think you're going to have a hard time seeing out of that windshield with the big Hahn banner across the top, though.

Yea, but when you drive as fast as I do, how much can you really see anyway!!:steering:
