Well..I gotta say that is definately a different look than any other I've seen on the SE.

Don't know if its for me, the chrome trim that is. I do like the color combo.

I'm just surprised that anyone did that to a SE. There were only about 2300 of them made and only they were painted Victory Red.

I gotta ask, if you were gonna paint it anyway, why get the SE?

Cause it sounds like you're not keeping the wheels, which were also only available on the SE, either.

BTW, any plans for the chrome wheels? hint, hint;)

And before I forget.....

Why SE?

There are thousands of ways to customize a car. We chose to try to do things to maximize the retro look that Chevy was going for when they designed the HHR. Thus the fenders painted like 50's trucks, and the chrome from old station wagons. Sure, some of the pics I see with the HHR tricked out in today themes look good....we just chose to go retro. The reason for the SE was we liked the Victory Red best and when we saw the two-tone interior the others just looked too plain. We were going to buy the sport red and have the fenders black but the SE won out.

Cool!

That Victory Red is nice!

Car looks great!

Right now the mods are looking for a new feature car. You should take some more nice pics and post a thread in the Picture & Media thread.

Question

How do you attach pictures to the message or thread?

GDZHHR 07-23-2006 04:11 PM

You can upload them to the gallery and then cut-n-paste the link it creates for each pic into your post.

I live in Columbia, am retired and just traded my 14 mpg Grand Cherokee for the 30+ mpg HHR.
Didn't think I would like a small car and bought it for wife but she has driven it twice in the 7 weeks we have owned it. after I decided it was mine.
Bought it from Perry Chev. and have had excellent service on it. Just turned 3500 miles. Avg highway mpg is 30+ at 70 mph.
