Illinois Window Tint Law Changes
:thumb:
For all my fellow Illinois HHR owners: The window tint laws have change for us Illinois members. http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/IL/ As I read the law, with our 20% factory tint on our Multi Passenger Vehicle/Station Wagon we can legally tint the driver and front passenger windows to 50% now. Other vehicles without factory tint can go 35% all the way around(except Windshield). This is good news although still too restrictive imo. If this has already been covered I appologize as this changed a couple months ago. SPPD |

Hows it going SPPD
I tryed tinting my fronts last summer. I gave up quickly. When i get it done this summer it will be the 1st mod to my ride that i did'nt do. It will definitly try your patience. And i apply wall coverings every day, From leather, silk , glass bead, fabrics, hand painted papers. Window tint, No thanks. After trying , I'll pay to have it done. It's great to hear Il. chillin abit. It's been 7 months with some seriously ilegal headlights, and i've acctually had two officers say, Wow those are cool, Nice work. Never stoped once since i 've had the SS.    I hope to see you this summer at a GTG |

It was a self-serving law. Allows Illinois politicians to snort coke and pass legislation without fear of being caught in the act. Lest you think I'm picking on you guys, here in New York we can't get our politicians to even show up for work. I'm not sure which is better.
Politicians have(and certain other famous) always had exemption from our tint laws. This law only makes it legal for everyday peeps to tint up. I for one am happy about it. SPPD |
