No more front plate in Missouri!!
I haven't had one on in 4 years, at least I'm legal now.
SS SCS SB 781 Under this act, the state will only issue one license plate beginning August 28, 2010, unless the registered owner is eligible to receive a second plate. Some motorists will be able to obtain an optional 2nd plate upon the payment of $15 fee Motorists who currently receive two plates will be issued one plate and the plate shall be attached to the rear (instead of front and rear) of the motor vehicle. Applicants who request 2 license plates shall attach the plates to the front and rear of the vehicle. Applicants for personalized and special license plates will be automatically be issued 2 license plates. The act also requires that no tab shall be issued for the optional license plate and no tab shall be required to be displayed on such plate (Section 301.130)(SA 6). |
What's this tab they refer to?

Well, I work in St. Louis and live in Illinois and don't have a front plate on my SS. There is a similar bill making it's way through the morass of government bungling and I hope we follow suit.:propeller:

with all the Corvettes and other cars of the like w/no front plate available, it seems ludicrous to even enact a "required front license plate". :(
|
Never lived in a front plate state, don't intend to either. I know they serve a purpose for law enforcement, and speed cameras, but they do ugly up anything they're on.

I fully agree... glad to live in Kansas where I only need the rear plate
