Wc53 hhr

I'm thinking this should be a fast and easy custom. Primary plans besides the Olive Drab hose job and Oscar Mike's is to loose the rear valance and the front below the headlights. Some military ish 2x8 channel bumpers and possibly dually wheels at some point. Wheel selection hasn't been great but I'll probably need adapters and front spacers and it should work. Trailer fenders grafted in the back should look good and fit the theme.

Is that what you are going for?

Sounds like you're adding a lot of weight. Something to consider.

I'm going with 2x8 1/8" thick. I'll have 6x6 1/4" spanning the frame in back for the pintle hitch to pull my motorcycle trailer. My bike already has the military theme P40 look which I'll be doing on the car as well. I doubt the bumpers will add more than 100lbs with what I'm taking off. The fenders might add 50lbs but I will be removing the inner wheel wells and some of the fenders as well. The trailer and bike are about 700lbs. It's all really simple stuff. Bob the fenders and fab some sheetmetal flares, notch bend and weld some channel for the bumpers. I might go to Dually wheels at some point. A few spacer/adapters and bingo. I have springs that should raise the back a few inches for the Hot Wheels look and will probably get coilovers for the front. All incredibly easy mods that should look neat and turn heads for a few dollars. I'll also be "Militarizing" the trailer as well.

Ok Oscar Mike's have arrived. I ordered a satin olive instead of full drab. I ordered 2" letters WC HHR53 for the sides of the hood. I'm going to do a functional hood scoop using 2 PVC toilet flanges and some gasket as well. I'll probably shoot everything but the fenders to start and get the decals on before starting the real butchery. Replacing the bumpers and opening up the fenders and making flares/liners and running boards. Hopefully I'll have a few nice days to shoot paint coming up. Already got deglosser and DA pads.

Is there a way to straighten the bumper supports for a flat bumper? I'm thinking of trying a tree first or maybe a 20 ton jack. In the back I have a piece of 6x6 1/4" angle to replace the rear bumper support so I can run a pintle hitch on the bumper. I suppose I could just replace the front the same way with 4x4" angle under the bumper.

Toilet flange hood scoop.

2 toilet flanges and some gasket and instant functional hood scoop. I'll use a few screws and an elbow into the air box. Hole saw a hole in the hood and cover with a scoop. Air filter housing will come out as usual and hood open as usual.
