Computer mods to remove governor from the 2.4 twin cam mated to a 5 speed

Does anyone know of a good tuning/ ECU programmer that will remove the governor settings on my car? The thing tops out at 110 right now, then hits the limit. I also want to tune the air/fuel ratio.

Any suggestions?

Do a search for the "Trifecta Tune", whether it'll get you much past 110 is something I can't answer for you

2.2 and 2.4 HHR's will run between 110 & 115, that's about it. While in theory, the horsepower and final drive ratios used would let a non-SS get up to 130.....they hit an aerodynamic "brick wall" and there isn't enough power to go faster.

So if you really want to haul butt, search out an SS, they'll see the other side of 140.

I'll be happy to hit 130, I just want the limiter gone, and more 0-60 pep. The warranty is done, so it's pointless to not start modifying the car. Gotta start with the basics though

You will need a good stretch of road to hit 130 as n/a...wondering if it even would...you may want to look into boost.

super tune

Had my 07 2.2 super tuned.....those chips and stuff should be outlawed...nothing but a waste of money....the only thing changed was i added a coldair intake and a magnaflow muffler.i wanted alittle more response...got that and 2 mpg. The little "*****" will touque steer. Just make sure if you do it yourself you know what you are doing, or find someone who does....s c

Did you see a change with the intake and exhaust without the tune? I've heard that the ECU will compensate for the mods, basically rendering them cosmetic.
