The Many Sounds of our Wagons!

Had an idea...not sure if the mods will go with it or not, but here goes. I though that maybe we could have a sticky where everyone can put sound clips and descriptions of our different exhaust setups. I think this will be very informative especially for new folks that are on the fence about what mufflers/exhaust setups to go with.

I'll start...

2011 2LT 2.4l
No aftermarket engine mods
Exhaust setup...factory muffler with resonator cutout and straight pipe put in its place...
Total cost - $40

Sounds great........that's what I was thinking about doing to mine. I always liked the sound of Magnaflows :twothumbs:

Did the cabin noise increase much?

Thanks Guy, Yeah cant go wrong with magnaflow I had one on my old Saturn SL2 and I loved it. As for cabin noise, it did increase but very little hardly noticeable as least to me, but the sound itself is awesome even better in person than in the video. It has a nice deep sound when you hit the gas, You wont confuse it with any of those little fart can Honda's and Toyota's you see on the streets that's for sure.

Good stuff chefhhr, I was thinking of removing the resonator on my SS, Do you think it will improve the sound any better? or is it too late to do that since I already have a new muffler on it?

The resonator can be removed even if you have installed a muffler. It is between the cat and axle.

Oh i know, but i meant to ask "should I have it removed?" My main concern is having it sound crappy since I already have a aftermarket muffler. Will the combination of the aftermarket muffler and the removal of the resonator make it sound "too" loud and sound like a civic or something?
