sorry if Im not being clear...i just want to know if the cat-back piping size is the same for the 2.2 and 2.4. If the 2.4 is a bit bigger and more flowing then I would want to get that instead and then put on my own muffler...but if there both the same then there is no point and Ill maybe do a custom setup

 

I don't know the size for sure for the 2.4 . I have put a Magnaflow 11123 SS muffler in place of my original factory muffler the wife hated it to much drone! I now have a stock muffler welded back on. That was a lesson in futility and $150.00 in labor.

 

2.2 is around 1.75", 2.4 is around 2.25". I believe I found that over on cobaltss. They also have a sticky that has several vids of different muffler/exhaust setups for each motor, including a 2.2 with 2.4 catback. With the factory 2.4 muffler, it sounds pretty good.

 

Pretty sure you asked this already, the 2.4 is bigger. The ss is too but has a 3 bolt flange instead of 2.

 

is it worth putting the 2.4 exhaust system on and maybe doing an aftermarket muffler? or should I go to an exhaust shop and get a full one done up? cost wise there will be a huge diference..maybe its just preference..

 

I'm confused by the list of mods you show you show you already have a Magnaflow cat back so are you looking for more performance or less drone?

 

I still like mine, the cobalt supercharged exhaust. Not sure but I think its the same size as the 2.4 with a less restrictive muffler.
