adding running boards ??
i would like to add running boards to my 2011...i have not crawled under the car yet,off tomorrow and friday..for those that have done this...,are they hard to remove,what will i need for tools,any tricks that i should be aware of,or is it pretty straight forward......also taking them from a salvage yard vehicle,do i need brackets etc.,or does my car already have them ?? thanks for any help

I keyed HHR running boards into a search window and got over 1100 possible hits, I checked with the GMpartsdirect site they have complete sets for about $500.00 in primer ready to color match includes all the brackets and all
I bought both my running boards from eBay for $250.00 a couple of years ago but had to repaint them. Changing them out was easy using the link Don Brewer supplied. Not a hard job anyway.
