Any interest in a fiberglass hood?
I have found another way[beside hood scoop] to get cool air into the air box.
Bear with me on this one, and try to picture it.
I trimmed off the back up curvature of the plastic panel that blocked off the air flow to the engine compartment at the radiator. When trimmed it is a straight shot directly at the air box. By spacing the air box lid up, you get a second cool airflow into the air box, along with the stock setup. Take a good look and see what I'm talking about.
Unfortunately, I had already drilled holes in my hood, when I put my scoop on, with the idea of making it functional, before I found this new path out. Oh well, at least I think the scoop adds a little "Badness" to the car. "Moon"

As to eyesight: Yeah, I'm blind. I do everything by braile[feels better...if you get my drift]. "Moon"
Thanks for the input, cowl induction type definitly seems to be the preference. I'm going to have to play with it a bit to get the right look. The hood will definitly be functional, i dont see any reason to go through that much work not to be.
Ok then i would say a rounded hump is better, tapered a little wider at the rear open end to fit with the existing body lines.
Slightly off topic - I guess I dont really understand cowl induction, seems like it would want to suck air out from the hood using negative pressure. Whereas a forward facing scoop forces more air in. Anyone feel like educating me?

It almost HAS to be like this
Anything else wont flow with the car.
Smooth bumper FTW!
WWW.CUSTOMCRUZERS.COM sells that hood.
