Do you mean 'Cochise' as in the chief of the Chokonen band of the Chiricahua Apache?

I like it. Finishing touch maybe get a nice looking horn to replace the wimpy stock one.

Wouldn't be legal to drive here in the glorious free state of Illinois, you must have fenders covering all the wheels.

Even on trailers. Farmers can get away with having open wheels but they do not usually travel at highway speeds,...

AZ is hot rod friendly. only fender laws apply to back wheels and also only apply to trucks, SUV, etc. hhr is compact so none apply. that fender bit on the front of the doors works as a rock guard, not required but I don't want to huck rocks at people. not very aerodynamic though.
no side mirrors needed but you do need a rear view.
I though I would have cop troubles but so far so good. Get a lot of "is it safe" comments, just have to remind folks that pretty doesn't = safety.

to clarify, it would be illegal to drive a t-bucket in Illinois? or only modern cars?

downed sign (handle), hammered flat.

"interior" back blanket was found on the side of the freeway. front garage sale.

dash gone. air conditioning chopped and some parts plugged. works better than new, surprisingly. airbags in working order. shift handle from antique corn shucker

window cable snapped and window is held up with a c-clamp. lasso rope handle

"shaved" tailgate is metal of off a microwave hammered flat and pop riveted on. push button under licence plate to open. bumper cover trimmed.
