Front of sunroof sets glass ~1/2 cm below roof.

A couple years ago I had the classic problem with my wind deflector (one plastic arm broke) so I removed the whole thing. Ever since, the front of the sunroof isn't quite flush with the roof. Nothing huge happens as a result... No big leaks water leaks (well, I've had a couple... But for different reasons), no giant gap, the sunroof operates properly.

I'm wondering though if there's anything I can do to raise it up that half cm. I can manually push it up from the inside but it doesn't stay. I assume the wind deflector propped it up to be flush with the car roof.. But I don't want to buy a new one, since they go for $100+

Have you checked any auto wreckers for a used replacement part?

Yes the wind deflecter propped up the glass that 1/2 cm. off to the wrecking yard for a replacement ,or to ensure y'all get the right part

Deflector | Genuine GM | 15907353 : GM Parts Direct: Your direct source for Genuine GM Parts

Yes it's part of the sunroof, maybe a PO removed it!

I've actually seen them on sale there, if I have to ill get one :) but has anyone had any issues going without it? I was thinking about maybe getting one of the exterior ones, or maybe just ignoring it all together.

The deflector is to direct the airflow over the sunroof opening. It allows the cabin air to be pulled out of the opening.
Without a deflector, the airflow goes into the opening and may even pull loose the headliner.
The stock deflector also cuts down on a lot of the wind noise.

Question.. How do I remove the old, broken clip and where do I get new ones?
