There were a few that used a modded upper grill for the lower. Some stated cooling issues afterwards.

In my case I wouldn't call it an issue, but I did notice a couple of degrees higher temp.

I did the plastic gutter guard mod.

No cooling problems at all. And I did pay attention to see if I did. Live in northern Illinois so I don't see super high summer temps
