HID headlight conversion
Install Problems
My shop discovered that the kit came with 9006 bulbs instead of H13, so charged me $90 plus tax to get the right ones. That delayed the installation so it took almost 2 weeks. When done, $320 for labor, I realized I didn't have bi-Xenon so my high beams connect to nothing. I got 4300 Kelvin bulbs and like how white they are. The headlight beams have a fairly broad spread, so that I don't need my fog lights any more. However, the kit apparently didn't come with relays. It takes a while for the bulbs to warm up. Worse, my auto-sensing headlight setup doesn't work any more. The headlights when set to auto stay on all the time. The only way I can get my gauges to be bright during the day is totally to turn the headlights off (and get a caution message in the Driver Information Center).
I saw the relay kit that was mentioned earlier in this thread. If installed, will this help the lights get fully bright any faster? Will it allow my automatic headlight sensor to start working again? HELP!
