How to remove....

OK now that I got my HHR naturally I want to make some changes to "make it my own"
I am curious how to remove a couple items. Pics below
1) there is a front plate mounted on the front bumper to install a front license plate. I'd like to remove it. But not sure how to go about it - and what kind of wholes would remain. I plan on putting a chrome bumper plat on so I am figure that'll cover any holes there. But it looks like there could be two holes in the painted part of the bumper if I take the plate off. Has anyone had one and removed it; and what kind of holes did it leave.

2) The only thing I see on the exterior that not about perfect is the Chevy insignia on the rear hatch. I found a replacement and want to remove the one in the pic and put on a new one. How does this come off. I don't want to start pulling and tugging and break something. Any advice?

3) Oh, when I go to put on the front bumper plate, how does the one on now come off. Looks like it's in some type of clips at the bottom; not sure how they open to take off the one on now.

Thanks for any help. Look forward to being part of the group.

Front is just screws and tabs. Rear is double sided tape.

Hopefully, someone on a pc will move this thread to an appropriate forum. I can't seem to access thread tools on my phone.

Sorry - I looked and didn't see a specific place for this question...
My first time here - I probably over looked it.

The front plate holder is riveted on so just drill out the rivets paint a couple of barbed plugs and that is that .
The rear bow tie will come off with a piece of dental floss or fishing line, I've used weed whacker line, then peel back the 3M tape, there are two pins to position the bowtie so you have to work around them

Welcome to the site

The upper plugs seem to be in the white painted part; with the other being in the gray part.... I was thinking of using the front and rear bumper trim; but not sure if it is mounted in the proper place if it will cover the holes.

ALSO I was thinking of adding a front bumper plate; didn't know if this was a replacement part (where you took off what was there and replaced it) or if this was a 'stick on' item. If it is a 'stick on' then it seems the front bumper trim wouldn't lay on smoothly.

Appreciate all you folks help

Give the SEARCH tool a shot. Just about everything has been covered in the last 9 years. You will most likely find all the ways to skin a cat.
