Pad update!!! Washed My Cruck today and the botom of the grill was loose... The tape on the pads is not water resistant. Pulled all (3) pads and reinstalled using 3M emblem tape. Will update (update ) soon. Keep an eye on your grill if this is the same type adhesive pad on your`s...B/B

i used the 2 stainless clips for the top and then bent it around the bottom and then used 2- 8X1.25 mm nuts at the top on the sides where the bolts are w some flat washers.

mine has been thru the car wash and me pressure spraying it several times w no problems.

Best bang for the buck mod out there! Did mine, total $1.11 + some flat black spray paint. I'll probably redo mine later to make sure it is properly secured. Right now it only has the two tabs on top holding it but it's holding on for now.

Did mine per cj's how-to, 'cept I used three clips across the top with the corners bolted down. Painted it with gloss Appliance Black epoxy, and it stays put just fine. (I don't think the paint has anything to do with that. ) Be doing a second one next week for another addition to the family.

did you put the 2 8X1.25 mm nuts and washers on the sides?
did you push screen around the bottom and sides to really make it fit? these really nail down the sides so it doesnt move.

just curious
made it where mine doesnt move at all
