Does anyone know which wire i need to tap into that controls the lights on the car when the unlock button is pressed? (all the lights stay on for like 30 sec then shut off) I am trying to achieve a similar effect in the link below..

That's a parking light wire being triggered, it's just on a timer so they shut off automatically. So you could do something like this but the lights on the handles would be on anytime your parking lights were.

Either that or hook up a pulse timer to the unlock wire of the doors. Either way not simple.

 

If it were ME...I would just tap into the interior dome lights. They illuminate when you hit the unlock FOB button....stay on for the pre-set amount of time...then go off.
They would obviously be on when you exit the vehicle too but they'd cut off in a few seconds.

Nope, its all computer controlled. Wiring to the interior lights I think would be your best option.

 

Brown on the left. Navy blue on the right.

 

Interesting idea. I would have to agree custom wiring to ceiling light inside.
