Painting Brake Caliper and.or Rear Drum ?
Anyone else out there painted there brakes ?
what kit did u use ? what color ? how long does it really take to dry ?? |

none white 20 minutes |
I like the G2 caliper paint kit, just google it to order online. Its a brush on, so easier to do while on the car, and lasts pretty good.

Yes, using www.eastwood.com engine paint w/ceramic in it (good to 650*)
a Quart costs less than any caliper paint kits, brush it on & it self levels, looks like a piece of glass. My color is 1964-82 Chrysler Red. https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil...kes_597845.jpg |
I used black engine exhaust paint. Worked nicely and dried fast.

I used red engine enamel a few years back and it still looks great. Of course that's if you keep the brake dust cleaned off them haha. Didnt take long at all. Well worth the effort.

yes , used Gloss black high temp bar-b-que rattle can paint from Rust-o-lem, 1 hour, but I let it dry over night just to be sure. 3 1/2 years later still is shiny but could use a respray

black to match the hhr caliper and drum. also purchased perfect stop black ecoated rotors for the nw ohio salt fest |
