Port holes?

I'm thinking of the port hole look?
Those port holes look great eveni if this aint no Buick:D

Thes pics are from http://californiacruisers.com/
They do a lot of PT customs and now the HHR has given them another pallet to work with. I think they are working on Chrysler 300s as well.

I was sold on placing nice chrome Chevrolet scripts in those hood areas:
A seen here in another member's photo:

but now............
I'm not sure:confused:

Here is a PT done with the port holes, whiskers, and more:

Now back to the HHR..
So what do you think? A chrome beltline and some port holes?;)
Like the first pictures up top?
I'm also interested in bringing the chrome look to the wheel wells and running boards. It looks nice in the PT photo at the bottom. I know wheel well chrome kits are out there, but so far I've only seen a variety of pipes to mount below the running boards. I like the chrome look, but not necessarily the extra weight and lower ground clearance the pipes give. A chrome edge around the running boards would do fine for me.:twothumbs

Hey has anyone seen an HHR with whitewalls yet? I think it is inevitable:smile:

Not my style. If you like it go for it. That's why there different choices for our cars. It would be boring if they all looked the same.

Anything Old School is good in my book....
I also like the Windshield Visor and Wide Whitewalls....put a set of SocalHHR's triple lake pipes and it's the 1950's all over.........

I really like the porthole look-I just wish they could be functional. The engine compartment could certainly use some cooling!

I certainly agree with you there.

I would imagine a custom shop can probably install functioning port holes into the hood that would look nice, but I'm sure the cost isn't cheap.

Hood louvers would give an old school look and let heat out. I wonder if anybody has the capability to do them anymore?

Rule #1 Don't buy things that you saw on PT Loser first..

http://www.pbase.com/harpozep/image/60591056.jpg

I think these guys added every aftermarket part available to this thing.More is not always better..

scaleguy 05-22-2006 11:31 AM

Hey that would rule out better sub wooffers, speakers, amps, DVD setups, dash kits and more. Nah, I can't live by rule #1.
But I feel your pain!

This PT certainly is a bit over the top, but hey, it's a free world....
The JC Whitney catalog would never have flourished if everyone thought this way:D

Anyway, you got any mods yer thinkin' of doing? I'm doing some of these show mods and a anti-sway bar . I'm thinking about changing the exhaust and intake as well, but want to talk to my Chevy dealer about their warrantee first.
