Removal of front plate bracket problem.
I just bought an SS that came from a state that requires a front plate.
Here in Indy we only have a rear plate, so I removed the bracket for the front plate. Now I have 4 rough cut holes in the bumper from the bracket mounting. Any suggestions on how to clean this appearance up? |
Plastic auto body plugs, available at any FLAPS. Paint to match the bumper. Hold in place with silicone adhesive.

Front vanity plate?
Seriously though, to make it look right? That's body work... If you are not competent with repair and paintwork maybe it's a job for the pros. I don't know your skill set so I'm not meaning to be offencive. Sure, the holes can be filled, the area sanded and a rattle can could make it somewhere near the right color, All that stuff is available at an autoparts place... but it's not really going to look correct. IMO |
I'm afraid my patch work would look worse than the 4 holes.
Remember the hood ornaments that had plastic propellers on them...maybe I could make it a 4 prop job :propeller: https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...Mh-DULMvnEz-&shttps://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...e7QdfAuaw3k9&s |
