REVIEW: EGR brand window vent visors

Well, I was looking for a visor for my windows that were "in channel" style. I prefer the look of my car without any visors but I wanted the functionality. Cheapest I found were from EGR (with which I'm not associated) and the cheapest site was autopartswarehouse.com (with which I'm not associated). They are a LOT cheaper than Weathertech or AVS. They also look better than the ones that stick on the outside. They are in channel, look like oem and don't have that little extra lip that runs along the length of the stick on ones from AVS so they're real clean looking. I also like how it runs all the way down the front of the front door window frames behind the mirrors resting on the top of the door trim instead of stopping at the down angle. That gives you front wind and rain protection.

I wasn't going to write a review but today in Florida we had tropical storm force winds and rain 55mph and my car was in the parking lot with the windows cracked. I thought for sure I would be mopping the inside since the 55mph rain was sideways. WELL, these things were GREAT. The front set doesn't even use glue tape and they held perfect without the window being rolled up. The rear ones didn't budge either. There was NO, yes I mean NO water inside my car. Not a drop!

Riding with the windows all the way open it does cut down on wind and that annoying helicopter thudding that comes with pressure building against the rear window if you drive too fast in some cars with only a couple windows down.

However, they still do let more wind in than the stick on ones that hang out further from the side of the car. I actually like this since it still gives you the wind in your hair south Florida cruising relaxation.

They're not too dark. There is less visibility obviously on the A pillar than without but that happens with any visor.

So, they're AWSOME and for under $50 you can outfit all 4 doors. Panels are obviously cheaper with just the front two.

Thank you for your review. I'll have a look at these. The air thudding sound is bothering me too.

Looks good !!!
I have 'in-channel' vent visors on my Panel also.. I have been using AVS brand for last few rides !!

Plus the warranty is awesome..

Some brand makes ones that cover the whole back window on wagons.. Can't remember the brand tho..

I'm pretty sure they're WeatherTech. Good review, Eagle! I've been debating whether or not to get window vents for the trucklet.

They would be great except that the rears look silly in just half the window. Thats why I bought the AVS outside ones. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah I think the rear window looks retarded to begin with. They shouldn't have split it like that. But, I think these look better and not as tacky as the stick on ones. I guess that's why they make different styles! lol
