Good point. I like the Red one as well.. Guess you will have to hit the lock button on your fob, if you have the horn set to blow, I do, but only on second hit on lock button setting. Then my 3 Caddy horns give off a good healthy chord of Caddy music..

And now the BlackSwan almost gets a new grille, same ABS mesh EBay grille, nice and shiney .
However the holes for the mounting lugs aren’t large enough, hindsight, I should have drilled out a little larger first, but the first 4 studs went in nicely, I lubed the stud threads with a dip in dish soap, but the 5th one , pushing my luck, broke off.
I’ve reattached it with ABS plumbing pipe adhesive, fingers crossed!

The new ABS EBay grille

The flimsy mounting point

The broken flimsy mounting point

Note here the plastic pushed out by the OEM stud.

It will sit for a day or two to allow the adhesive to firm up and cure, then I’ll install it .

Huh.. I have the same grille (at least in design.. isn't quite as shiny) bought from Amazon. Studs went in fine from what I remember... My wife and I have an expression for stuff like this: CCS (Cheap Chinese S***)..

I’m not holding any hope for this repair, I’ve contacted the seller, but they haven’t responded, most likely because it’s the weekend.

Blue- If it works out, are you gonna paint the mesh red, that kinda is your trademark..

JB Weld is your buddy, imo.

No, no plans for red paint, tired of the stone chips and the respray process
