Trailer Wiring
Do you need the Curt "plug and play" adapter or similar harness to wire an HR for pulling a trailer or can you splice in the wires from the trailer harness? I'm not having very good luck when I spliced in the wires, but I'm not much of an electrician either. Anybody have and advise on wiring?

When I bought my Curt hitch from Amazon, I also bought the correct Curt wire harness, it's plug n play your Done. NO wires to cut at all.
GET the little adaper. ;) :thumb: If you ever sell your HHR you can remove the hitch and the wire harness adapter and put it all back to OEM. Why Hack up wiring when you don't have to? :skull: |
1st off-Welcome!
2nd as just stated by American & Proud get the plug & play. Bought mine from a local Uhaul. Wrap tape up to the end and just throw it out the back! https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil...PEG_000577.jpg https://www.chevyhhr.net/gallery/fil...PEG_000574.jpg |
