I agree about removing the chrome window trim, unless you can do it to all the windows for a full on retro look. There are many products on the market that will keep them looking nice and black.
The handles don't seem too out of place though, especially for those of us over a certain age...

Thanks for your response buddy. I like hearing what you all have to say. Im gonna take them off tomorrow and see the difference. I'll be keeping the handles on though as the chrome (other than the window pillars) flows mid level of the car. from the taillight bezels, to the handles, and the chevrolet script, to the grille. Nice HHR you got there btw!

Looks awesome to be honest but to me if you kept the black rims I would say add more black accenting somewhere else. I have "semi permanent" plasti dipped wheels that were done in a professional paint booth and even feel like paint. Neat stuff! On my particular car I do not think the black rims would look good without the rest of the black accents.

Thanks for your response. If the white HHR in your Gallary is yours then I'd say go for it! I have seen white HHRs on Google search with black rims and I really liked them but they didnt have the half panel version like yours is. I've always liked trucks with a white body and black rims as it gives them a nice stance, maybe it will give your HHR a nice stance? You could always photoshop your rims black and see how you like it.

I know what you mean. Any thoughts/suggestions into what you would do? I really like those racing stripes you have on yours btw. I just looked through your posts because I recognized your HHR on this site, I commented on that SSR HHR photo you took.
