Front seat bolt pattern

Hello,

I have a 2009 LS with manual seats. I am finding that there is insufficient support for my back and am considering replacing the driver's seat with a Corbeau GTS II model.

http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/gts_ii/

Corbeau tells me that the bolt pattern for that seat is: 11 3/8" wide and 13" front-to-back (4 bolt pattern). They don't have a drop in bracket for the HHR. So I was wondering if anyone knew what the seat bolt pattern was for the factory bracket.

There are really two ways to go:

1. Fabricate an adapter that will allow the seat to mate with the factory bracket.

2. Get a universal bracket and figure out a way of mounting that.

Or I could just forget a seat replacement and buy an Obus Forme back rest...

Any guidance you may be able to offer would be appreciated.

advTHANKSance

MY 08's

heated electric leather, has electric lumbar adjustment. you may want to check one out, if you like then you wouldn't have the bracket delema.

to the site! I don't think anyone has installed aftermarket seats in an HHR yet, gets into all of the legal "mumbo jumbo" concerning the passenger seat airbag sensor. Fabrication will be the only way to install aftermarket seats in an HHR. Would like to see someone do it though!

Thanks boss.

as far as fabricating a seat installation, I would have to say the delta platform does provide plenty of "room" to do so from what I encountered...in fact, that rear cross-bar set up is one of the coolest things I have encountered when gutting a car's interior...

as far as legal issues(SRS, seat belt locations, etc) and positioning of the seat, well...people will often forget about that when they modify a car anyway.

If i could change two things about my HHR, it would be the seat rake, and the steering column position-to-driver.

Many thanks for all the information! The pictures of the disassembly of the seat have given me an idea that maybe all I need is a lumber roll inserted behind the seat fabric.

Cheers.
