yeah i cleaned em with acetone...

 

just a thought, but would it work lightly sand blasting them to roughen the surface. that would get into all the crevices.

 

also, what happens if the interiour has been armour-all'd

 

Chad- wow, & they didn't get gummy ? acetone is pretty strong for plastics.

I think a light sandblast is way overkill..

& to remove armorall, just need a wipe down with grease & wax remover, or alcohol, or similar..

 

use a gold scotch brite from a body shop supply store with a plastic cleaner then use plastic adhesion promoter.goodluck

 

I agree, but this plastic seems pretty stout. A quick cleaning with acetone probably would be fine. (obviously if Chad just did that very thing) I think you would have to soak the parts to really mess them up.... But yeah, most plastics and acetone don't get along well.

 

Didn't use much acetone at all, worked perfectly.

 

I don't know why you couldn't Scotch Brite it with a very mild pad.

If you use your fingers instead of your hand you can get into the impossible spots that sanding can not get to without creaming the top off of everything.

Also use a circular motion with the Karati Kid "wax on wax off" technique.

One direction and then the other direction.....

If your lucky you can lightly use Acetone but it can be risky and not neccesary here IMO.

 

Here is out it turned out, I love them, turned out great tweeters look awesome and sound so much better. Forgot to take before pics installed im sure i can find some on here some where though.
