New Carpet Protection

So after spending $492.92 for a new factory carpet to my door im looking for a quality protection treatment to apply before I install it.
I see like 3 top products, Stoner, Chemical Guys and of course Scotch Guard. Does anyone know of any other quality products I should look at?

Seems I recall something about ScotchGuard is already applied.

Absolutely but I live in the sometimes sunny state of Florida where it rains daily for half the year. Also I work in a not so clean enviroment so id really like to have stain and water repellant applied and since it hasnt been installed yet id like to treat it before I touch it too much.

X2 on WeatherTech. They are not standard mats. Even the protectant you put on can wear off, I would not bother. I live in the snow belt. Salt eats up carpet far faster than dirt and rain.

I like my WeatherTech also. The fronts. The rears will not stay in place.

Your choice on which brand to go with.
I've had the Husky Liners in mine since it was new. Form fitted and cover the entire foot well area. Also have the Husky Liners in my Dodge truck for 21 years and they still look like new.
This pic shows the front liners size compared to the little stock HHR mats.

My roomie has been looking for these Huskies but it seems this model is no longer available as we cant find them anywhere. Do you have a item or part number for yours still?

firemangeorge Aug 29, 2019 07:43 PM

I tried looking them up for the HHR. Didn't have any luck.
Anyhow. The item number is WCP31381 for the front black liners I got from an online parts supplier 10 years ago.
...............................................WCP 21391 is for the black rear cargo liner.
I think the Husky Liner numbers are shorter. 3138 fronts and 2139 cargo liner.
