I had to remove almost everything to retrieve it including the entire cargo floor and even unbolt and move the metal platform that replaces the rear seat in a panel.

Although a real pain I got it back together as good as new. On an interesting side note I could not believe the debris under the cargo floor. Lots of blue painter's type tape??? and lots of plastic shavings??? Amazing what the factory just seems to leave inside the car.
How do you get the 2 black fasteners out of the middle of that panel i cant see to find a tool to pry them out a screw driver just distorts them

The last post in this thread was in 2009.

What fasteners are you talking about? Hint go to an online parts site like gmpartsdirect.com and look at the pix; like this: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-p...rear-door-scat

The cargo area side panels. What fasteners are you referring to?

That's interesting, my Full Panel has no separation for the area that would be a window on regular HHR's.

It's one piece, for the whole side.

Yes but I believe the topic was the rear inside panel.

The joint between top and bottom is the red line. Perhaps the fasteners in question are the 2 I've circled. On mine they are 2-part plastic push pins, not difficult to remove. Pull the center part of the push pin out. Then it will be obvious.

Sleeper, are you saying your part #8 is integral to your part #2? Boy, that seems unlikely, have you had it apart?

After a fresh look in mine, RJ, that's what I see as well.
