Steering wheel options

I really would like radio steering wheel controls on my LS. HHR wheels with the controls are rare but I noticed other GM wheels look exactly the same, specifically the Malibu wheel. Has anyone done a cross reference for steering wheels? Obviously the Cobalt wheel fits but again, they're more rare than the Malibu.

They should "fit", but the wires may not match function or position in the connectors. Have you looked at https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...ng-wheel-1912/ ?

Yup, saw that when I did a search but it's actually almost cheaper to just buy the entire steering wheel. I also did a better search and the Malibu question was somewhat answered in other threads - basically it's just safer to try to find a HHR or Cobalt wheel. I ordered one from LKQ a few weeks ago but when it arrived, it didn't have the steering wheel controls and it was in pretty bad shape so I sent it back. I'll just have to be patient and hope a good one pops up at a good price.

How about a trip to the local Pick & Pull yard. I got the switches and harness for $5.00.

Tried that - none have steering controls for some weird reason around here.

Meh, it's been hit or miss - I was hoping to find a decent one under $100 but they're few and far between - I may have to just bite the bullet and pay the price.

Did you send a PM to hellshotrod? He might have the switches or maybe a complete leather steering wheel like this one
